The issue of medication safety is of vital importance to the frontline nurse. The nurse plays a critical role in preventing medication errors, often acting as the safety net for the patient. This presentation will describe the findings of a national research study commissioned to better understand nurses’ perceptions of patient safety five years post the IOM report.
