About the CHIMSS Scholarship Program
The CHIMSS organization is committed to supporting the professional development of health information technology professionals in Colorado. We offer scholarship awards to professionals pursuing a career in health information technology and those looking to expand their training in the health information technology field. Applicants must reside in Colorado. Applications will be accepted beginning January 1, 2012 and must be submitted by Friday April 6, 2012.

Applicants can apply for scholarships in the following areas:

Academic scholarship: CHIMSS Scholarship awarded to students pursuing an advanced degree (masters or doctoral) in the field of health information technology, nursing informatics, health informatics, biomedical informatics, and related fields.

Award: up to $1,200 and complimentary registration for two CHIMSS programs for upcoming year.

Training scholarship: CHIMSS Scholarship awarded to all qualified professionals pursuing advanced training and/or certification related to health information technology, nursing informatics, health informatics, biomedical informatics, and related fields.

PLEASE NOTE: Previous year's scholarship winners are ineligible for one year (2011 winners are ineligble in 2012, but can apply again in 2013).
