About CHIMSS
The Colorado Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (CHIMSS), provides Colorado's healthcare professionals with outstanding educational conferences, networking opportunities, and a forum for the interchange of ideas among those committed to the goal of improving patient care through the effective use of information technology.
Membership
CHIMSS is an award-winning chapter of the national Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Recently, CHIMSS has been recognized and awarded for the HIMSS Innovation Award (2005 and 2006) for putting on well-attended and outstanding programs on various areas of Healthcare Information Technology.
Membership is not required to attend educational conferences, and national membership is not required to join the Colorado chapter. CHIMSS members come from diverse backgrounds all involved in some aspect of health care information systems and management. Members include physicians, nurses and other clinicians, information services executives, project managers, administrators, and consultants. Many are the key leaders and decision-makers in their respective institutions throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Event Sponsorship
CHIMSS holds three educational programs a year and several evening networking events oriented to information systems, finance, and patient care professionals. The programs typically attract 80-120 professionals composed of vice presidents, administrators, directors, managers and analysts.
CHIMSS encourages sponsors from the vendor and consulting community to defer the cost of the chapters programs. All sponsors will receive:
Their logo and company paragraph on the CHIMSS web site and a link to their companys site
Sponsor name on the agenda and in all program brochures
Table space to distribute sponsor company information
1-2 registrations (based on sponsorship level)

In order for any vendor to sponsor the HIMSS 08 Colorado Reception, they will need to sponsor at the Fourteener level.
Timberline Level - $2,000
Sponsorship for all programs for the conference year

Mile High Level - $1000
Sponsorship for two ½-day or 1 full-day program
(does not include HIMSS Colorado Reception or

A sponsorship is also available for vendors who pay the expenses and honorarium for their customers/clients that are demonstrating innovative practices in the area of health information technology and are a speaker at one of the programs. Please follow up with the CHIMSS Program Chair for the specific needs for a conference for speakers.
